Food Lab at Gerard’s Bar

One of my foodie dreams came true when I was invited to photograph the very first Food Lab event at Brisbane’s prestigious Gerard’s Bar. The cream of our food scene (including the lovely Natascha Mirosch – my food idol¬†ūüėć ) gathered to enjoy the uniquely progressive degustation dinner created by fantastic head chefs Ben Williamson and Steve Harry.

The magical world of Heya

As soon as you walk through Heya bar’s front door and make your way down the stairs, you’re travelling into a different reality. Suddenly you’ll find yourself on the streets of South East Asia full of mysterious oriental bars, moody corners, flavoursome street food and alluring sounds. I’ve been captivated by the wonders of this amazing underground venue and would return any time to experience it’s intimate charm again.

Atalanta – a girl with attitude

When I was invited to photograph Atalanta Bar and Greek, the restaurant that every¬†food lover in Brisbane had¬†been talking about for weeks, I couldn’t wait to see the highly anticipated venue and dishes they had on offer.¬†I have to tell you, they certainly lived up to my expectations and beyond.¬†It was an absolute pleasure working with renown chef Dean Brewer, whose dishes are¬†just as hearty¬†and inviting as the venue’s whole atmosphere. I wanted to keep the images simple and clear, matching Atalanta’s contemporary¬†but warm style and giving¬†complete emphasis to the amazing food creations.
